To Our valued customers Warning: Copy of Sigma 1-14 08.06.2015 Ladies and gentlemen, Copies of Sigma’s products are rarely found in the market. This is most likely due to the high effort needed for material selection, mechanical design and testing, in order to make a centrifuge in compliance with international norms and safety standards. Despite a warning letter from Sigma, the company TOMOS Group has continued to promote a centrifuge labeled TOMOS 1-14, or TOMOS MiniMax 17, or maybe other names. This centrifuge is a copy of Sigma 1-14, which however, despite great similarity with our product, shows very severe and critical differences.  

Please note: TOMOS 1-14 (or similar) is

• not made under license from Sigma Laborzentrifugen GmbH,

• not using original parts, • not conforming to relevant norms and standards,

• not conforming to CE, i.e. has failed our test according to applicable norms,

• not safe, i.e. has failed our standard safety test with disastrous result!  

No maintenance, support, warranty, repair, spare parts or accessories are available from Sigma Laborzentrifugen GmbH or our worldwide network of authorized distributors and service partners.
